Rec & Ed Little Ninjas Intro Course
Ages 4-6 years old. Little Ninjas teaches introductory martial arts skills to young children. The class is catered to the abilities and attention span of this age group. Children will learn discipline, self-control, respect for teachers, parents and classmates, physical fitness and coordination, balance, memory and focus. Learning is done through fun games and activities, and experienced, professional martial arts instructors keep the children moving and engaged. Each child will complete the introductory curriculum of Little Ninjas and receive their first Ninja belt (no additional fee). A responsible adult must remain in attendance for this half-hour class. Instructor: PKSA Karate Staff.

Rec & Ed Kids Power Intro Course
Age 7-12 Students learn self-defense, physical fitness and coordination, teamwork, anti-kidnapping techniques, self-discipline, respect for parents and teachers, and self-confidence in a positive, fun environment with experienced professional martial arts instructors. At the end of the course they will have completed the introductory curriculum of the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do and will receive their yellow belt, the first of many steps toward a black belt if they wish to pursue it. Parents may participate with their children if they wish (this is optional). Last class includes a martial arts demonstration and each child will break a board under the safe supervision of instructors. A responsible adult must remain in attendance for this 45-minutes class. Adult Self Defense
Do you have a desire to learn new techniques that enable you to successfully escape, resist, and fight back in dangerous situations? No experience is needed to increase your awareness, level of prevention, and basic self defense skills in this six week class. Build your confidence, strength, agility, and endurance while enjoying the subtle fitness benefits of this class. This class meets at PKSA Ann Arbor North (5692 Plymouth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105. Instructor: Female 4th degree black belt certified Master Instructor.

Cardio Kickboxing
Do you want to experience a fun cardiovascular workout while learning basic kickboxing moves? In this class, you can expect an upbeat, full-body workout, targeted to improve your strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Participants will need bag gloves that cover up to the 2nd knuckle; full finger gloves will work as well.

Adult Beginner Karate
Ages 18+ Learn the basic movements of the Korean martial art of Tang Soo Do: punches, kicks, blocks, and stances, while improving balance, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and strength, in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. Learn to easily defend against wrist grabs and other basic self-defense methods. Adults of all ages welcome. Class will be taught concurrent with intermediate adult students but with its own instructor, so some activities such as warmup will be taught together while some activities will be taught separately. If you’ve always wanted to try martial arts this is the perfect way to start. Participants should be prepared to remove their shoes or have indoor shoes only for use on the mats. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.
